1946 Ford Truck Painting
Watercolor, 11” x 14”, 2016
by Mary Morano

This 1946 Ford Truck Painting is an homage to the trucks that were made by Ford just after the end of World War II. Ford started to produce more civilian trucks starting in 1945 after the government War Production Board gave manufacturers permission to do so. They began making these trucks with a V-8 engine. Rusted, and patched together with who knows what…. This old truck looks like it belongs on Walton’s Mountain (remember them?) and that is what makes this truck so charming. I wonder what’s in the back with those louver windows open and that big old exhaust pipe hanging on by a thread. It would be a cool planter in my front yard if I chopped off the roof.

Fine Art Prints of this painting are available in 8″ x 10″ for $25.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Every Print is matted and signed by the Artist.
